Lighthouse Car Wash

Message: Recently added free vacuum machines. Self-service bays are not exactly a better value than the fully automated drive thru.

Message: Love that they replaced the vacuums with the new ones and it's free! They are upgrading the place, putting in kiosk to pay for the car wash, will definitely miss the human interaction, but time to upgrade and utilize the technologies.

Message: **Update May 2023**. Lighthouse has done some major upgrades to the parking lot and vacuums.. Vacuums are free between 8am and 5pm. There are now dual hoses on them with the traditional flat extension and also a crevice tool. There is also a place to clamp your floor mats.. I should also add that when you go through this wash, there are always two people spraying off the car. They spray with power washers then wipe the front and back of vehicles with big brushes before you go into the machine.. This is a well-established car wash that's great for auto-washing or DIY.. They have 5 bays in back of the property where you can spray off your car yourself. It's covered and costs about 2 bucks to start. They maintain their equipment pretty well so everything works great. In the bays they also have brushes and clamps to hold your floor mats.. If you want to do the auto wash, this one is a little better than the other auto washes in the area. Some of the employees have been there for years and they do a great job.. Hint: if you slip them a tip when you drive into the auto wash, they will usually spray your car off a little better.

Message: The water is really wet here and has soap in it. So if you have your window rolled down have a rain jacket on and smile without teeth. Also have you eyes closed. If you eat a sandwich it might get soggy. And soapy. Then don't eat it. Eat it before.

Message: I drive a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it has this little overhang off the back of the car over the liftgate that almost never gets washed by other establishments. This place literally got it sparkling clean. Not to mention a very generous drying time that gives the car a chance at staying clean for more than 30 minutes after you drive away. Prices are neither high nor low. Very fair.

Message: The person collecting money was nice and cheerful. However when I was going threw the car wash, they sprayed down the front, back, and right side of the car only. The left side (driver side) did not come out clean it still had residue from the tree I park under. Had they sprayed down the left side as well, I believe it would have been a good results. My daughter noticed all the gunk still there right after we took off. I know I only got the $10 wash, but I felt like I payed for a $5 wash. I usually pay less for a way better result. So that was pretty devastating due to this being my second attempt at a car wash company in Ann Arbor trying to find one that can actually clean a car. I also drive down a dirt rode so it was able to get the dust off just not residue apparently.

Message: My car has lowered suspension, so minimum ground clearance is only 4 inches, but they clean my car okay! Actually, most of time they done great job, but just sometimes, like only 20%, they don’t. When they are busy, they don’t clean my car perfectly especially wheels.
